Misbahur Rahman Aasim
Misbahur Rahman Aasim, an education and development activist envisions to create a faith-based development industry. Having a bachelor with honors degree in education from the University of Dhaka Mr. Aasim further went for a specialized post-graduate degree in educational leadership, planning and management from BRAC University. Earlier, he had an extensive exposure in formal religious education from renowned public institutions in Bangladesh. He is the COO and member-secretary of Tarjumanul Quran Trust (TQT) and one of the founding members of Charity Platform. He served the Center for Zakat Management (CZM) for almost a decade in various leadership positions. He also accomplished noteworthy experience in diverse programs, such as education & capacity building, livelihood & public health, da’wah & fund-raising, accentuating shariah principals and compliance, liaison with corporates, chamber bodies and academicians, and so on. Mr. Aasim also possesses profound working experience as the member of disparate editorial boards of several publishing houses. He participated in many national-international seminars and workshops on issues including zakat management strategy, zakat calculation, revival of waqf, shariah compliance in development initiatives, social capital, sadaqah and social justice, financial strategy, and CSR.
