Chairperson's Message

Charity Platform started its journey in 2019. Our objectives are straightforward; we want to help the poor people in society. From our own experiences and empirical research, we know that poor people can make a difference if given the opportunities. Many suffer because they cannot start a small business for livelihood as they lack financial resources. They know education can make a difference, yet they cannot send their children to school because they think education is perhaps not for them. Just for lack of adequate information, many women are forced to live with the suffering inflicted by diseases that could be easily preventable if detected earlier. Many of them, men and women alike, quietly go hungry. Most of the miseries that poor people experience are created structurally and systematically.

Charity Platform, as a not-for-profit, seeks to adopt an approach that triggers empathy and harmony in society. As members of the human community, we believe that we have a role in alleviating the suffering of our fellow human beings and in creating meaningful opportunities to rid them of different forms of precarity. Indicating our responsibility towards the suffering people, the Quran says, “[True] righteousness is [in] one who believes in God, the Last Day, the Angels, the Book, the Prophets and gives of their wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes Prayer and practices regular charity…” [Quran 2:177]

We aim to promote the culture of giving and donating to help the needy overcome constraints. In doing so, we call upon the rich people of the society to realize their obligatory charities. We use zakat, sadaqah, and other donations in a planned way to implement different activities that create sustained livelihood opportunities for and alleviate the sufferings of the needy people of society.

Our team is committed to working in the most transparent and accountable way. We strongly believe that doing something for needy people is not a favor to them but our obligation.

We humbly call on every people in society to support the activities and programs of Charity Platform to help our needy brothers and sisters to come out of their distress.

Let’s dream to make our needy people dream of a meaningful and decent life.
